Primary 4 Pupil

“When the music session was done and finished for the week, the whole thing I’d look forward to for the whole week, was the next music session. I felt free!”

Head Teacher - Primary School

“Roberto engaged well with the children and was interested in the school overall. He was very patient and encouraging: children were encouraged to try new things, different instruments and ways of making music that interested them. They were supported and encouraged to be curious and inquisitive by Roberto”.

Class Teacher - Primary 4-5

“Just a big thanks to Roberto for coming in and working with the children. He developed a great rapport in such a short time and the class would be keen to do more sessions in the future..”

Class Teacher - Primary 5

“The children were given the opportunity to create musical stories. This was really interesting as many of them have not done this kind of activity before. It was great to see how their confidence progressed from initially just saying "Play loud" to creating stories with details..”

Head Teacher - Primary School

“Roberto was able to bring expertise that we do not possess in school. Teachers are often not confident enough in their own musical abilities to allow the children such a free approach to the subject and would often require a lesson plan to follow. It is also always helpful when a different person comes into the class to spark the children's interest..”

Primary 4 Pupil

“You learn that you can work in a team with all the different instruments, and that when you all play together, well, the music sounds good!”

Primary 5 Pupil

“I definitely got confidence from it and some better music skills…and it made me happy…When I was playing music, it just made me happy and excited.”

School statement from survey of class teachers - Primary 3 to Primary 7

“All the children were engaged throughout. All pupils were able to be involved even if they had no prior musical experience. Roberto worked well with the variety of needs present in the classes. Some of the quieter pupils were more confident and able to stand up in front of their peers to enjoy making music and even to conduct the little orchestra of their peers.”

Annie - Undergraduate Degree Music Student

“I was so anxious about improvising…in my head I was thinking “this is going to go so horrible for me”, but in the end I felt amazing!...Roberto helped us to listen to each other, trust ourselves and be free!”
